Simply the Best Award

Simply the Best is an annual award for innovation and creativity in tourism, which has been awarded for 16 years by the Association of Croatian Travel Agencies (UHPA) and the PUT Tourism Exchange. The goal of the award is to highlight projects, events, destinations, and individuals who contribute to the development and enhancement of the tourism offer in Croatia.

The Simply the Best 2025 award ceremony will take place on April 9, 2025, as part of the 25th PUT Tourism Exchange, which will be held from April 9 to 11, 2025, in Toplice Sveti Martin.

Simply the Best 2025 Award Categories

This year's awards will be presented in the following categories:

Hospitality (establishments offering local food and accommodation facilities)
Travel Agencies
Events (heritage, culture and tradition, recreation, entertainment)
Culture and Education (visitor centers and museum institutions)
New Tourism Projects
Individuals
Destinations (continental, coastal, and island destinations)
Souvenirs

In each category, a shortlist of finalists will receive the Simply the Best plaque, while the winner of each category will be announced during the award ceremony.

In the Individuals category, all awards are equal, while in the Destinations category, the best continental, island, and coastal destination will be selected.

How were nominations collected?

The call for nominations was published in early December 2024, and the application process lasted until February 14, 2025.

The call was sent to tourist boards, travel agencies, hospitality providers, hoteliers, media, and other stakeholders in tourism. Nominations could also be submitted by third parties, such as tourism organizations or local authorities.

In the Souvenirs category, due to high interest, applications were submitted via a special form, and souvenirs were evaluated in seven thematic groups.

All winners will be contacted individually via email. If the nomination was submitted by a third party, they will receive a notification with a request to forward it to the winner.
